Sounm of Freedo dis holding on to #3 at the box office as the debut of Barbie and Oppenheimer

Sound of Freedom continued its success at the box office in its third weekend of release, despite strong competition from the two main films opening on Friday. The low-budget film, which details the true story of how former Homeland Security agent Tim Ballard quit his job at DHS and risked his life to venture into the Colombian jungle to save children from sex slavery, held its own at the box office over the weekend, grossing around $20 million in its three-day run. The film's performance this weekend is only slightly lower than last weekend, when it reportedly grossed around $27 million. THE HIGH COST OF A WALT DISNEY WORLD VACATION SOUND of FREEDOM continues its incredible run,” said Brandon Purdie, head of theatrical distribution at Angel Studios in a statement provided to the Washington Examiner. “The word continues to spread and the crowds keep showing up, so this film ended up doing more business in its third weekend than the first. As we begin to look at the international box office, Angel Studios intends to keep pushing here at home. We want every American to see this groundbreaking film.”
